Just south of Bordeaux (and a bit in its shadow), the South West region of France is full of surprises and terrific values. A vast and rural region that produces a mix of Bordeaux varietals along with rare and indigenous ones, wines from here take you on a journey of exploration. Its neighbor just to the east, the Languedoc, is also home to amazing values and fun field blends that are full-bodied and juicy. In this class, we’ll taste wine from Cahors (the original home of Malbec) to tiny villages blending up both familiar and difficult-to-pronounce native grapes. There is something for everyone to love in the South West and Languedoc - and at a great price to boot!
